This has been a very busy year for me doing design and coding stuff and it looks like I won’t be getting work breaks anytime soon. The design industry is changing and the way people digest information has been evolving pretty fast too. One of those evolving aspects is computer screen resolution. This means that I have to step up my game and make sure my craft looks good in this high resolution machines.
I really don’t want to be technical but basically, if you visit a regular site on a retina display or similar high resolution displays, images and graphical elements appear to be blurry since retina displays packs more pixels on the screen. So it’s like images are stretched past their normal size – not good from a design standpoint. So I decided to invest a retina Macbook Pro a few weeks ago not only for testing purposes but also to give me more flexibility in my work (like working at Starbucks for example).
And yep, it performs well on games too! I can still do my rift runs in Diablo 3 at 60fps. Well, at a lower resolution and medium settings obviously since macbooks are not really designed for gaming. At least I can still play right?
