Step aside, Nathan Drake. Lara Croft’s back!

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics had just released the first debut trailer for the new Tomb Raider game. From the looks of the trailer, I think that the CGI’s were done by Square Enix themselves. It has some Final Fantasy-ish ring to it and Lara Crofts overall appearance and character design looks Final Fantasy-ish too. I don’t know, maybe its just me.

“…’Tomb Raider’ explores the intense and gritty origin story of ‘Lara Croft’ and her ascent from a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold…”

The game is scheduled to be released next year 2012 so yeah, we will have to wait for a bit T_T.
