A few weeks ago, despite my very busy schedule, I still managed to attend the 12th Toy Convention here in the Philippines. It’s basically a 3 day event that focuses on all things pop culture including the latest games, anime & manga, cosplay, and yes, some of the best toys and figures in the market. The event started on June 14 (Friday) and lasted up to June 16 (Sunday).

I decided to visit the event on its second day and upon arriving at the venue, I was welcomed with this never ending line of attendees buying their tickets at the booth. Fortunately, a good friend of mine and basically my hobby provider (Hubbyte Toys and Collectibles) reserved 2 VIP passes early on and I was able to enter the event without even breaking a sweat ^^ (Thanks buddy!)

The event has improved a LOT compared to my last visit 2 years ago. Had a great time meeting comrades (old and new) from major toy and figure communities here in the Philippines like Otakai Figure Society and One Sixth Republic. It feels great to meet up with people with the same interest and hobbies as you. I can only attend the event for one day so I made sure to take all the pictures I can before heading back to base.
