Hot Toys is going to release their second Iron Man figure from their new “MMS Diecast” series. This time, it’s the Mark XLII armour from the highly anticipated film, Iron Man 3. Just a few days ago, they also unveiled the official prototype images of Iron Patriot, their first entry to their “diecast” line of figures.

Figure looks totally awesome. When I first saw the images, I thought I was looking at the exact same character from the trailers. It’s overflowing with details and the new headsculpt much much more resembles RDJ. Price is much more expensive (USD310) compared to HT’s previous Iron Man figure releases (since it’s diecast).

Figure slated first quarter of 2014. So much time to save $$$.

PS: HT also announced a “statue” version of this figure under the “PPS” or “Power Pose Series” to rival manufacturers like Sideshow and Kotobukiya’s ARTFX. It does have some limited articulation compared to the standard “MMS”.
