Figure Maintenance

Today, I decided to do a general cleaning of all my figures. With my ever growing figure collection, cleaning them is not an easy task. It took me roughly 2 hours to finish (including the display racks). How often do you clean your figures?

Figure Maintenance (1)

Cleaning these figures requires patience and focus (lols).

Figure Maintenance (2)

Accumulated dust from Kotobukiya Yoko Litner.

Figure Maintenance (3)

My super handy figure duster. As much as possible, I avoid washing my figures. (It depends actually.)

Figure Maintenance (4)

(Yeah, that's me) Using cotton soaked in water with mild soap to remove dust stains. I basically did this to all my figures. (roughly 120+).

Figure Maintenance (5)

One of my very first figure. My 5 year old Mizuho from GSC.

Figure Maintenance (6)

She still looks fresh after the cleaning.

Figure Maintenance (8)

Also cleaned their display racks.

And here's the overall dust accumulation on all my figures. Crazy.

I honestly admit that when it comes to cleaning my figures, I’m actually pretty lazy. This figure maintenance gets a lot harder because your figure collection grows overtime. But yeah, this is a responsibility that we must take as a figure collector. If you don’t want to clean, stop collecting :))
