Sorry for the delayed post! :D

Here’s the 2nd figure from my January 2011 shipment. Mio Akiyama, the bass player from the anime K-ON! She plays a left-handed, 3-Color Sunburst Fender Jazz Bass with a tortoiseshell pickguard. Enjoy!

I’m ashamed of myself for not seeing this review page sooner. Mah Mio! Yellow?! Her color is blue!!! Haha though I can forgive you coz you’ve got some really nice shots there.

This is one of the earliest figures of Mio, and the first by Alter. In terms of sculpt, Alter really delivers, though she’s prone to breakage at the feet…er foot attachment (I know this, unfortunately, from personal experience); but her character is still best captured by Alter’s 2nd Mio figure, the School Festival Version…and not to mention Max Factory’s rendition. Still a topnotch figure and a must-have for K-On enthusiasts and Mio fans.

Sorry, I tend to wax prolific when it comes to Mio hehe. I’ll just say “good job” again and be on my way. (though seriously, the yellow hurts my eyes a bit)

Hahahah! Thanks Giles and sorry if I hurt your eyes a bit :)) If I’m not mistaken, this is one of the early reviews I did when I was just starting blogging about my figures (lots of experimentation here when it comes to photography setup). And now that you mention it, I definitely agree that the backdrop I used here SUCKS!

And thanks for the tip! (ie: foot attachment). I’ll handle it with care specially when doing some figure cleaning. \m/
