Griffon Enterprises is going to release the 1/8th scale figure of Ikaruga from the anime series, Senran Kagura (閃乱カグラ). Not really familiar with Ikaruga or even Senran Kagura but the figure is looking great. Griffon is known for their never ending Ikkitousen figures and it looks like they are also applying the very same marketing strategy with Senran Kagura by rolling out these “Damaged Version” variants.

Like what I’ve said earlier, figure is looking good and I might preorder her if I changed my mind. Slated July 2013, ¥8,900.

Preview | Orchid Seed: Nishikawa Chiharu

Orchid Seed is going to release the 1/7th scale figure rendition of Nishikawa Chiharu from the doujin, Class Maid (クラスメイド). I do love sexy figures but I kinda have some limits when it comes to it’s overall presentation. I honestly admit that this figure is so beautiful but I think it’s a bit too much for me since I mostly display my figures out in the open here in my office.

Preview | Orchid Seed: Nishikawa Chiharu

The sculpt looks great and it comes with an optional facial expression that is (in my opinion) not advisable to be displayed publicly. Actually, that said face is fine if Orchid Seed added an option to remove that “something” in her mouth (pictured below). Maybe I’ll just have to think of a more wholesome way to display this figure if I decided to preorder her later.

Slated November 2013 for ¥9,333.

Preview | Vertex: Ayanami Rei (Entry Plug Interior Ver.)

Didn’t know that Vertex is also going to release Rei Ayanami (Entry Plug Interior Ver.) as a freaking huge 1/6th scale figure similar to Asuka they released last year (which I’m still currently waiting to arrive > <). The cockpit design and its articulated parts are similar with the exception of Rei's pose. Obviously, since I purchased Asuka, I don't have a choice but to purchase her as well. I have a strong feeling that Mari will be next.

The figure comes with a very hefty price of ¥39,800 and is currently scheduled for a late August 2013 release.

Freeing is going to release the 1/8th scale figure rendition of Narumi Nakuru from the anime series, Mayo Chiki! (まよチキ!). I’m really not sure about this one > < Body sculpt looks good but the face is just… ugly. Easy pass. Scheduled for September 2013, ¥8,381.

Preview | Max Factory: Dark Elf

Max Factory unveiled their upcoming Dark Elf figure from the popular MMORPG, Lineage II (リネージュ II).

Late last year, they showed us the 1/7th scale figure rendition of the standard female “Elf” (coming June 2013) and this time, they’re going to release the 1/7th scale figure rendition of the female “Dark Elf” in the game.

It comes in 2 variants. The regular / original version which is the blue one (game accurate) and the “brown skin” version which makes the dark elf look more “human like”. Both figures looks great and is a great addition if you’re a fan of the game.

Currently scheduled September 2013 for ¥10,286.

Preview | Arcadia: Sonico

This upcoming Sonico figure from Arcadia dubbed as “Sweets & Bikini Ver.” looks good though is it me or her pose looks somewhat “un-natural”? I think one of the main selling points of this figure is the vast amount of colorful accessories included in the package (similar to Yamato’s Sonico released late last year). And yeah, those kittens looks absolutely adorable!

Slated October 2013, ¥10,800.

Preview | Alpha x Omega: Yagyu Kyubei

Alpha x Omega is going to release the 1/8th scale figure rendition of Yagyu Kyubei from the anime series, Gintama (銀魂). The figure looks good and based on the preview images, you have the ability to customize her pose by replacing some of her body parts. I prefer the “fighting” stance over her “kawaii” pose though.

Slated October 2013 for ¥8,400.

Preview | Wing: Shiraki Meiko

Wing is going to release the 1/7th scale figure rendition of Shiraki Meiko from the ecchi manga series, Kangoku Gakuen (監獄学園). Scanned a few early chapters of the manga and it looks really interesting (and funny). Some of the scenes are “near-hentai” (based on what I saw on some of the pages) though.

Going back to the figure, it looks great and I love the art style applied to it. Meiko also looks very sexy in this figure rendition. It’s also cast-off enabled if you want to really peek inside Meiko’s uniform :P Slated August 2013 for ¥9,800.

Preview | Alter: Kazuno

Alter is going to release the 1/8th scale figure rendition of Kazuno from the anime series, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon (境界線上のホライゾン). When I first saw this figure last Wonfes (Winter), I was really impressed by its overall presentation.

The figure has a dynamic pose partnered by a very detailed diorama type base. Figure also includes these 2 HUGE swords which looks great when displayed together with Kazuno. It is also one of the things I’m a bit worried about though.

These swords are so huge I’m sure it’ll cost me an arm and a leg when it comes to shipping this figure out. I’m also kinda worried about how Kazuno leans over but I’m sure Alter used a different material on her leg to prevent her from leaning in the future. Currently scheduled September 2013, ¥12,000.
